This pest of pumpkin and many squash varieties are now active in high numbers.

Squash vine borer traps in southern New Hampshire continue to capture very high numbers, one of the highest  and latest populations we’ve seen in the past decade. Pumpkins and many squash varieties are susceptible to attack from larval feeding, which kills vines. See the New England Vegetable Production Guide for control recommendations.
