A part of the Forest Carbon Webinar Series

Trees in a forest

On June 24th, UNH Extension hosted Mariko Yamasaki, Team Leader/Research Wildlife Biologist, U.S. Forest Service and Coeli Hoover, Research Ecologist, U.S. Forest Service for a one hour overview of the general principles of managing for wildlife habitat and forest carbon. Wildlife habitat and forest carbon management objectives are generally complementary, and involve decision making about desired landscape and stand level characteristics.

In this webinar, Mariko and Coeli reviewed characteristics that shape these management decisions and discussed how those decisions influence the presence orabsence of stand features in managed and unmanaged stands.

SAF Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for this webinar (1.0). To qualify, view the video and complete the questions at the end. You will receive a certificate of attendance and national SAF will be notified. No partial credits awarded.
