During April and May, sixteen conservation-minded individuals from fifteen New Hampshire communities met online, reviewed resources, completed assignments, and attended field trips as part of the 2021 NH Coverts Project training. This new group of volunteers learned about forest ecology, wildlife habitats, forest and habitat management, and land conservation, and left the final training session ready to return to their communities as stewards of New Hampshire's wildlife and habitats. The NH Coverts Project now involves more than 450 trained volunteers throughout the state of New Hampshire in promoting wildlife conservation and forest stewardship!
