Great news for Speaking for Wildlife volunteers! The newest Speaking for Wildlife presentation - Reptiles & Amphibians: Warming Up to New Hamphsire's Cold-Blooded Natives – is now available for you to offer in your communities. The presentation and script have been loaded on the laptops in all of the county kits (except Carroll County, which will be added soon), and a hard copy of the script has been added to the script binders. There are no new handouts associated with the talk. You can check out a summary of the talk, sample press release, sample flyer, and the presentation script here. We don’t yet have a video recording available, but will in the next couple of months. As always, if trained volunteers would like a copy of the actual PowerPoint file, let me now and I will send you a link to download it directly, since we don’t share those files publicly.
This new talk introduces participants to the frogs, salamanders, turtles and snakes that call New Hampshire home. These species range from among the most common animals in the state, to some of the rarest. Audience members will learn about the many different habitats that reptiles and amphibians use, what threats they face, and what they can do to help.
Congratulations to Ruth Axelrod who suggested the name for the new presentation and will be receiving a UNH Cooperative Extension hat!
