What you should know about the training sessions.

sprayer calibration

UNH Cooperative Extension will host a series of all-day training workshops twice per year (generally Jan/Feb and Sept) for those seeking a supervisory registration certificate - general use from the state’s Division of Pesticide Control. Individuals wishing to obtain this certification need to participate in a series of training classes, pass a written and oral exam, and show proof of insurance.

Training will prepare participants for the state of NH certification exam. Instructors will provide a review of the information found in the National Pesticide Applicator Certification Core Manual and NH Code of Administrative Rules during the Core class. Trainings will be offered for the following categories: Core, Shade & Ornamental (G1), Turf (G2), Forestry (C1), Right Of Way (B) and Mosquito & Black Fly (25b products only) (F2).

New Hampshire requires that anyone applying pesticides commercially must be certified as a commercial pesticide applicator. This certification is required regardless of whether the applicator gets paid for the service or the pesticide is classified as general or restricted use. This includes over-the-counter homeowner-type pesticides.

Because of the present COVID-19 pandemic and the protocols put into effect by the University of New Hampshire we will be changing how the trainings will be conducted.
